Please join us for the opening of "Frank Lobdell: The Dance Series 1969-1972" on Friday, September 12, 5:30-7:30pm, at Hackett-Freedman Gallery.

SFMOMA’s Modern Art Council honors Manuel Neri with the 2008 Bay Area Treasure Award. Neri will be honored on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at a luncheon at the St. Regis hotel in San Francisco.  For tickets or more information, please call the Modern Art Council at 415.357.4125.

"Contemporary Still Lifes," on view at the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, CA, July 12 – September 7, 2008, features work by James Aponovich, Guy Diehl, Jeanne Duval, David Ligare, and Amy Weiskopf.

"Gustavo Ramos Rivera: The Colors of Invention/Los colores de la invención" is on view at the Christian Petersen Museum at Iowa State University, Ames,  August 25, to December 12, 2008.

A career retrospective honoring Frank Lobdell is on view at the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art, September 27 – October 26, 2008.

Ann Gale is the subject of a solo exhibition at the Weatherspoon Art Museum in Greensboro, North Carolina, January 18 - April 12, 2009

Congratulations to Marc Trujillo on receiving a 2008 Guggenheim Fellowship! Marc's work is currently on view at the American Academy of Arts & Letters, "Exhibition of Work by Newly Elected Members and Recipients of Honors and Awards," through June 15, 2008.
